Some selected work.

I worked as the copywriter for the home and gift trade show Shoppe Object, where I wrote all website, social media, and newsletter copy, as well as manuals and educational materials, working with hundreds of small brands and makers. Here is the brochure from our summer show, and a few editorials: a set of Mother’s and Father’s Day gift guides, a Shakespearean-inspired round-up, and a shopping list for hobbyists.

I joined Minya Quirk and Deirdre Maloney (from the Shoppe Object team) as a freelance copywriter for their furniture e-commerce start-up Afternoon Light. I meditated on the idea of furniture as identity and wrote a series of object history lessons for Instagram, like this one.

After college, I wrote and edited for bioethicists for a few years and learned an incredible amount. I especially liked diving into the politics of what constitutes a “good birth.”
